Origins

The origins of Joondalup Country Club started when entrepreneur Robert Holmes a Court took on the chairmanship of the Joondalup Develpment Corporation (JDC) in 1977. It was a challenge that was to change the face of the Perth metropolitan area.

The Corporation’s role involved the development of a plan to meet the State Government’s objectives for the Joondalup centre. A pivotal factor in the plan was the development of an international golf complex and associated housing estate in Connolly.

And so the Joondalup Country Club was born and within a relatively short space of time the Joondalup Country Club was destined to be recognised as the one of the best resort courses in the world.

The Club’s Inaugural Patron was Sir Charles Court AK KCMG OBE.
