Designed by the internationally renowned Robert Trent Jones Jr., and consistently ranked in the top 20 golf courses in Australia,
the golf course presents a tough, uncompromising lay-out, featuring great variation in setting and style.
There are three diverse natural landscapes of bush, dunes and quarry providing a variety of golf holes and shot making. Sharp bunkering, contoured greens with tiered landing areas and thick scrub surrounding the fairways are common elements of Trent Jones’s design.
The Quarry course carves its way through a disused limestone quarry and features Trent Jones’s most dramatic work. The Dune course is characterized by hilly terrain and the Lake course is situated on gently undulating sand dunes with distant ocean glimpses.
To fully appreciate the genius of Trent Jones’s design and understand its idiosyncrasies the courses must be played several times and in a range of weather conditions.
